New Jersey's Early Intervention System (NJEIS) under the Department of Health & Senior Services, implements a statewide system of services for infants and toddlers, birth to age three, with developmental delays or disabilities, and their families. If you have concerns about your child's development, call the toll-free referral number, 888-653-4463, or visit website for information.
For children, birth to age 21, with special health care needs, call the Special Child Health Services (SCHS) case management unit in your county for information about services available to you.
Project Child Find
Free public awareness and referral service, established by the New Jersey Department of Education, assists parents and professionals by identifying available programs throughout New Jersey for children 3-21 years of age with special health care needs. Local school districts can provide screening and evaluation.
